Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar (OTR) manages, protects, and verifies current and historical student academic records at the University of Minnesota. We provide comprehensive training and support on processes related to student records, transfers, and enrollment across all five campuses. Our mission is to ensure accuracy and integrity, protect student data, and enforce the standards set by University policies and procedures and state and federal laws.

Catalog & Curriculum Management (APAS/GPAS/TES)

The Catalog & Curriculum Management team includes those who support our degree audit applications (APAS and GPAS), transfer evaluation system (TES), and Course setup via Coursedog.

The Degree Audit team (APAS/GPAS) maintains undergraduate and graduate degree audits for all degrees, majors, minors, and certificates to provide transparency around student degree progress.

The Transfer Evaluation System (TES) team manages TES workflow, updates uAchieve student records, and maintains transfer guides and Transferology.

The Coursedog Course Setup team supports the creation of new and maintenance of existing courses, course equivalencies, and course prerequisites. 

Modern Campus Lifelong Learning (formerly DORS)

Modern Campus Lifelong Learning (formerly DORS–Destiny One) team manages courses, conferences, and other learning experiences for non-traditional higher education that do not bear formal academic credit. Learn more about the DORS team on the DORS website

Data Quality & Reporting (QA)

The Data Quality and Reporting team develops queries and other tools to identify and correct student records data errors. We also perform mass updates to students’ records, such as milestone and service indicator updates, degree posting, and repeated class processing.

Records & Enrollment

The Records and Enrollment team maintains the integrity of undergraduate, graduate, and professional records, degree clearance and posting, electronic thesis/dissertation submissions, and reviews and approves residency reclassification applications, multi-institutional enrollment requests, and Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) Courseshare enrollments.

Service operations

The Service Operations team provides comprehensive training, production support, and documentation for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and related web applications on all University of Minnesota campuses. We manage and maintain historical University student records, document imaging, resolution of duplicate IDs, and support NCAA student athlete certifications. We also manage physical diplomas, digital diplomas, and transcripts systemwide.
