Operations and Strategic Initiatives (OSI) is the central point of contact for all administrative unit-wide support, full-service project and portfolio management, training and security access, and user experience and communications guidance within Academic Support Resources (ASR). We make it possible for faculty and staff to help students during their academic careers, while directly supporting the student experience by providing quality information about our processes, maintaining academic policies, and protecting private student data.

Our teams
ASR Central
ASR Central provides administrative logistics, supply and technology ordering, space and UCard audits, and event planning. Working with human resources, we submit hiring requests and maintain job descriptions for all of ASR.

Projects Team
The Projects team provides oversight and full-service project management for all ASR projects and portfolios. We offer centralized cross-functional project coordination and personal development coaching.

Training and Access Team
The Training and Access team creates and maintains training courses for ASR’s student-supporting systems and approves Access Request Forms (ARFs) to ensure that all University staff and faculty get the correct access to student-related systems.

UX and Content Strategy Team
The UX and Content Strategy team supports the user experiences (UX) of all services, systems, and processes within ASR. We provide communication guidance, writing and editing, and website management and maintenance.
