Training resources
Scholarship automation training
The scholarship automation process is used to pay institutional scholarship, grant, or fellowship amounts that help students defray the cost of attendance (COA).
To use the scholarship automation process, you must make a request for PeopleSoft access. Your Key Contact, RRC, or UMD area class manager should read the data access instructions. To request access, staff will need to complete the Scholarship Entry Access Request Form.
Resources
- Scholarship Entry Access Request Form (ARF)
- Scholarship Automation training guide (Departmental scholarship processes)
- Department scholarship file template (Excel file download)
- Tips on adjusting/adding scholarships (pdf)
Online scholarship application administrator training
In order to use the online scholarship application tool, the Office of Student Finance must first set up administrator access for at least one staff member in your college. Please email OSF Scholarship Unit at saosf@umn.edu to request administrator access. Administrators then have the ability to add access for other staff members in their college.
Review the scholarship application administrator training (pdf).
Scholarship Tracking and Reporting (STAR) training
This session provides training for the STAR tool (Scholarship Tracking and Reporting) housed within the University of Minnesota Foundation's Donor Management System (DMS). The class is geared toward accounting staff who manage scholarship funds at the University and scholarship administrators who award scholarships to students.
Promotional scholarship administrator training
In order to gain access to the promotional scholarship pages in PeopleSoft, fill out an Access Request Form (ARF).
Student Data Inquiry and Update training
Student Data Inquiry (SDI) and Student Data Update (SDU) training courses are both available online, in the Training Hub.
