The Electronic Course Authorization System (ECAS) is the system by which individual courses are proposed, reviewed, and approved for the course catalog.
ECAS is a secure system that requires Internet ID authentication to enter, edit, or approve courses. All U of M faculty and staff can view ECAS entries.
- If you need to be authorized to enter or approve courses in ECAS, contact the Office of the Registrar (OTR) Training & Support at email@example.com. Your supervisor's approval will be required.
- If you have completed training for ECAS and have problems logging in to the application to update or approve courses, contact the Help Desk at 612-301-4357 (1-HELP).
Please note that because of security requirements, there is a timeout on the use of ECAS. If you have the application open for more than 30 minutes with no activity, you will be asked to sign in again.
Information on course designators and requesting new course designators is available.
If you have questions, please contact OTR Training & Support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
